Candidates must be physically able to perform the duties assigned.
Possession of a valid New York State driver's license is required.
Duties Description Will be required to assist with janitorial type work in the Warrensburg office and Maintenance Center/Auto shop.
Duties such as, but not limited to; basic cleaning and disinfecting to include proper restroom cleaning, floor mopping/vacuuming, window washing and trash collecting/recycling within office will need to be performed.
As requested, will assist with set up of conference areas to include chairs, podiums and related equipment for conferences, seminars and special events.
Must be willing to work outside in adverse conditions during the winter to assist with snow removal from sidewalks and applying ice melt to sidewalks as needed.
May be required to perform routine and unskilled work such as carrying supplies and equipment, erecting ladders/scaffolding, assisting with cleanup at construction sites, preparing surfaces to paint and painting, loading and unloading vehicles.
Will perform general grounds maintenance tasks as weather permits.
Candidate may work under a skilled trades-worker and will be assisting with general maintenance, repair and infrastructure improvements at State facilities, and may be required to assist with hazardous tree cleanup as Departmental training permits.

Additional Comments Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be available for emergency response.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.
This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2024, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date.
Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
